1.
I like to take my morning walks, up
to a place up on the hill,
Where I can gather all my thoughts, where it's so
quiet and so still.
Where I can see for miles around me, and feel that endless
sky above,
It's my little corner of the world I love.
From here an eagle
soars above me, upon a breeze that I can't feel,
And the river winds so far
below, it looks so peaceful and surreal.
And the memories of the ones I've
lost, are sitting right here by my side.
'Cause in my little corner of the
world, their memory's very much alive.
CHORUS:
And I would sit right
here for hours if I could,
But putting off my list of things to do, ain't going
to do me any good.
I just hope that things will always be this way,
'Cause
in my little corner of the world, is where I always want to stay.
2.
Each
year it gets a little harder, to make a living off this land,
The cost of getting
by climbs higher, the cheque is smaller in my hand.
But I keep trying to make
my way here, this is the life I want to have.
I learned to love it thanks to
grandpa, who passed that love to me through Dad.
CHORUS:
And I would
sit right here for hours if I could,
But putting off my list of things to do,
ain't going to do me any good.
I just hope that things will always be this
way,
'Cause in my little corner of the world, is where I always want to stay.
3.
And
when another long day's over, and my family's gathered 'round,
In my little
corner of the world, a piece of heaven can be found.
So we'll keep doing what
we're doing, we'll take the good times with the bad.
And know that in this
corner of the world, we had the best life we could have.
CHORUS:
And
I'd stay right here forever if I could,
And when my list of things to do is
done, I want to know that I did good.
And I hope that life will always be this
way,
'Cause in my little corner of the world, is where I always want to stay.
